With the brisk activity in the three early January days of registration , the Fort Walton Beach Snowbird group is on track to, once again, expand its membership over that of the previous season.

At the rate it’s filling up, it seems the word is out about the good times and good value – with the special ’snowbird discount’ – of the Valentine’s Dinner/Dance. Interested members/would-be-members are advised to acquire their reservations ASAP during a future registration period.

The three golf features – nine hole, par three and scramble – are, once again a major attraction, as are the casino trips, and the various card games: bridge, cribbage, euchre, pinochle and sheepshead.

The Crafters Group, recognized in the community for their contributions to hospitals and other worthwhile causes, is off to a flying start. (the FWB “2010 New Years baby was shown in the NW Florida Daily News wearing one of their “made with love” baby hats)

Functions mentioned above are well established, popular activities, but a new feature this year, going extremely well, is specially priced (to our members only) admission tickets to a first-run movie complex. Fortunately there’s no limit to the tickets available. They, too, will be available at all future registration dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and prior to regular 10 AM meeting Tuesday, February 2nd.
