The Gulf Islands National Seashore has a full calendar of programs and outreach scheduled for Oct.
Programs are subject to change due to manning or weather. Visitors can also verify the daily schedule in person at the visitor center or at the fort’s entrances. All programs are provided free of charge, entrance station fees may apply.
The Fort Pickens Visitor Center in Florida is staffed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and the Fort Barrancas Visitor Center is open Saturday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The William M. Colmer Visitor Center in Mississippi is staffed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for questions. Passport Stamps can be collected at visitor centers and the park store located inside Fort Pickens opens daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m..
Gulf Islands National Seashore is hiring for 2024 summer positions on USAjobs.gov. Make sure to select the city (Pensacola Beach or Ocean Springs) to work on the application. See attachment 3.

Description: Join us for a ranger-led hike through a forest of oak and pine to learn about the history of the Deer Point Naval Live Oak Plantation. Easy to moderate 0.8-mile hike. Meet at Park Headquarters at Naval Live Oaks Area. Kid friendly program
