Emerald Coast Snowbirds Legends Basketball are playing again this year at the Destin United Methodist Church (DUMC), on Beach Drive in Destin. They have a beautiful facility and a gymnasium more than sufficient for multiple simultaneous games on those days where the group includes 12 or more players.
Play is half-court, typically 3-on-3, generally using the rules set by the National Senior Games Association (NSGA). Teams are “pick up,” dark shirts against light shirts.
Play dates: Most Mondays from 8 to 10 a.m. through March 2018. Our basketball program is open to snowbird groups in Panama City, Walton County, Destin, Fort Walton Beach and Navarre Beach, as well as who live in the area year-round. No preregistration is required, you can simply come to the gym on one of our play dates.
