How is it October already?

Some of you (lucky ones) already are on the road to settle in for the winter before cold and snow set in up north.

We call you part-time residents, not visitors. You are the ones that newbies consult upon arrival and are the great influencers.

This summer my family and I took a trip to Wisconsin where we did a grand tour of Lambeau Field – truly impressive. After flying into Chicago, we took an Amtrak to Milwaukee (our region of the Gulf Coast doesn’t currently offer rail travel, so that was a novelty.) On the trip, we took in a tour of the Milwaukee Brewing Company and a Brewers’ baseball game in the 90+ degree heat (we chose June to get AWAY from the southern heat!)

After visiting with fabulous Wisconsin Snowbird friends at their lakefront home in the country, we toured fabulous Door County where we learned how cheese was made. We ended the trip back in Chicago and a fabulous Broadway-style show. Great trip!

Your adventures on the Gulf Coast could be as simple or active as you make it. This time is yours so choose wisely!
