The City of Gulf Shores has announced the 2023 lineup for the Music at Meyer Park concert series. These FREE springtime concerts begin at 6 p.m. and take place in Gulf Shores at Meyer Park – 400 E 22nd Ave.
The lineup for our 2023 Music at Meyer Park concert series consists of the following bands:
March 23 – Funk You
For over a decade, Funk You enchanted audiences with an unmistakably intoxicating blend of modern and vintage sound. Comprised of eight kindred spirits from Georgia, this close-knit troupe is driven by an unwavering passion for live performance and encouraged by their own exuberance – making them one of the most electrifying acts in contemporary funk.
March 30 – John Papa Gros
For over three decades, Gros has brought his New Orlean’s celebratory culture to listeners around the globe. Gros mixes all the sounds of New Orleans – funk, trad jazz, brass band, blues – and makes it his own signature gumbo.
April 6 – 5 MILE BRASS
5 MILE BRASS is an 8-piece brass band from Mobile, AL. Paving new roads on their musical journey through their original music, the group combines rock progressions, jazz-inspired improv solos, and hip-hop pockets deeper than their matching maroon joggers. Put this together with the rapping repertoire of Michael Jolly, and you’ll be moving in no time.
April 13 – Dominick Michael
Dominick Michael is an up-and-coming country artist from Baton Rouge, LA. While this 23-year-old is beginning to make a name for himself as a standout in the local country scene, his sound is reminiscent of the country days of old. Since coming to the Baton Rouge scene, he has played everywhere, from stages in packed dive bars to fulfilling a lifelong dream of headlining one of the largest honky tonks in the south, The Texas Club. If you’re looking for a boot-stompin,’ honky Tonkin,’ good time, look no further.
