Visitors and locals alike are invited to cruise into Beau Rivage for a week of vintage, classic cars and fun as Coastal Mississippi hosts its 28th Annual Cruisin’ The Coast, Oct. 6-13. Dubbed “America’s Largest Block Party,” the weeklong event is expected to draw more than 10,000 registered vehicles from around the globe.

What began in 1996 with 374 registered cars has grown into one of the nation’s premier events for classic car enthusiasts, earning the title of Best Car Show Competition in the U.S. by readers of USA TODAY for the last five years. Last year, a record-breaking 10,070 registered vehicles from the United States, Canada and England participated in the event that spans throughout Coastal Mississippi. Cruisers showcase their rides along 30 miles of beach-side highway that connects a number of venues showcasing live music, car shows, swap meets and vendors.

The party at Beau Rivage gets firing on all cylinders Wednesday, Oct. 9 with the Cruisin’ the Coast “Britishmania Beatles Tribute” Party and rolls through the weekend with The Beach Boys on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12, free nightly live entertainment, drink specials and dedicated parking for cruisers.

Get ready to take a trip back to trip back to 60s to experience the wonderful sound and stage persona of The Beatles! Featuring iconic replica instruments and amplifiers, re-live what it was like to see them in their epic periods in their career, from The Ed Sullivan Show era followed by the Shea Stadium era then moving to the Sgt. Friday, Oct. 11 & Saturday, Oct. 12 – The Beach Boys in the Beau Rivage Theatre

“America’s Band,” The Beach Boys, mark more than a half century of making music, the group continues to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America’s musical history. The Beach Boys – who have become synonymous with the California lifestyle and an American icon to fans around the world – will perform in the Beau Rivage Theatre on October 11 and 12.

The Beach Boys have sold more than a 100 million records worldwide and have received more than 33 RIAA Platinum and Gold record awards. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers were also honored at the 2001 Grammy Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award. With more than five decades of touring under their belts, The Beach Boys have performed more concerts than any major rock band in history.

Each night during Cruisin’ the Coast, head to EIGHT75 for free live music featuring Triggerproof, who put a variety of favorites from pop, rock and hip-hop through the musical blender to recreate both popular and classic radio-friendly hits.

Troubadour Thursday and Unplugged Friday in Black Clover Lounge

Black Clover Lounge offers live music from 6 -10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, and Friday, Oct. 11, as part of an ongoing showcase of local acts. Gram Rea performs on Troubadour Thursday, while rock and country artist Rich n Love takes the mic for Unplugged Friday.
