Mother’s Day Evening Garden Concert

Celebrate Mother’s Day in style! On Sunday, May 12, bring Mom to enjoy music in the beautiful surroundings of the Gardens. The Mother’s Day Evening Garden Concert with the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra begins at 5:30 p.m. on Live Oak Plaza. Guests are welcome to come early to tour the Gardens before the concert.

Limited seating will be available, and guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Guests are also welcome to bring a picnic supper. Beverages and snacks will be available to purchase. The concert is included in the regular Gardens admission of $14 for adults and $8 for ages 5-12. There is no charge for Bellingrath members or for children ages 4 and younger.

May 9: Evening Garden Stroll

Join us after hours for our first-ever Evening Garden Stroll on Thursday, May 9, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The Garden Stroll is a kickoff for National Public Gardens Week, a time to recognize the importance of public gardens in promoting environmental stewardship and awareness. The Evening Garden Stroll will include complimentary wine and cheese; a container gardening demonstration with Display Coordinator Barbara Smith; samplings of the tasty treats in our Gift Shop; door prizes; and more! Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 5-12. There is no charge for Bellingrath members or for ages 4 and younger.

Miss Bessie’s Birthday Sale

Monday, May 20, is the 141st anniversary of Mrs. Bellingrath’s birthday. We’re celebrating with our annual “Buy Like Miss Bessie Sale” in the Bellingrath Gift Shop. Stop by any time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and browse our wonderful spring selections!

The perfect Mother’s Day gift!

Pick out the perfect gift for Mother’s Day at the Rose Sale in the Gift Shop Greenhouse. These are disease-resistant varieties selected by Rosarian Linda Guy. Take a bit of the Gardens home to brighten Mom’s garden.
