The University of Mississippi, Mississippi State and University of Southern Mississippi will once again host the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational Oct. 18-21, 2024. Invited teams include Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, LSU, Purdue, South Carolina, University of Nevada – Las Vegas, University of Texas at San Antonio, and Wisconsin.
This premier tournament will feature the nation’s top golf programs at Mississippi’s top course, the Tom Fazio-designed Fallen Oak. Fallen Oak has hosted the world’s greatest golfers for PGA TOUR Champions Tour events and now golf’s next generation of champions is set to compete on one of the most spectacular courses in the United States.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament will begin Saturday, Oct. 19 with the first-round shotgun start at 9:30 am and conclude on Monday, Oct. 21. Each university will compete for the team championship with five male student-athletes playing and four low scores counting each day. A collegiate-am day will precede the tournament on Friday, Oct. 18 starting at 8 am.
The Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational will offer a family-friendly College Game Day atmosphere with tailgating and the re-creation of the Ole Miss Gove on the finishing hole. Whether a cow bell ringing Mississippi State Bulldog, an LSU Tiger, or a Southern Miss Golden Eagle singing “To the Top,” all are invited and encouraged to wear school colors and cheer on their team. Coraline’s spacious layout is inspired by nature with the presence of oak furniture and lush plants, beautiful vases and masterfully crafted artwork.
