National Naval Aviation Museum Hosts Snowbird Events

The National Naval Aviation Museum, located aboard Pensacola Naval Air Station, welcomes winter visitors with several seasonal events this January and February.
 
To kick things off, the Museum is hosting its annual Snowbird Fly-In Expo on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 9 to 11 a.m. Winter visitors are invited to enjoy special offers on Museum attractions and receive information from local organizations. Spend $25 at the Flight Deck Museum Store and receive a free National Naval Aviation Museum Challenge Coin. Enjoy a free popcorn from the new refreshment counter with any Giant Screen Theater movie ticket purchase.
 
Interact with exhibitors from Naval Aviation Museum Foundation, Flight Deck Store, Visit Pensacola, Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce, Santa Rosa Island Authority, Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum, Naval Hospital Pensacola and University of West Florida Historic Trust.
 
Don’t forget to get your photo taken in front of our special Blue Angels backdrop. Grab your friends and family and have them join in. Photos will be uploaded to the National Naval Aviation Museum’s Facebook page to download, print or share with your friends and family. The Snowbird Fly-In Expo is free and open to the public.
 
Following the Snowbird Fly-In, visitors are encouraged to attend the 11 a.m. presentation from author Vincent Caire, which concludes with a book signing of “Military Aviation in the Gulf South.”
 
Next up, every Tuesday in February visitors are invited to enjoy Chick-fil-A breakfast and choice of beverage from the new refreshment counter followed by a presentation and movie in the recently renovated, Giant Screen Digital Theater.
 
Doors open at 9 a.m. Presentation begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by a movie at 10 a.m. Cost for breakfast is $10 per person and tickets are available for purchase at the Giant Screen Theater ticket counter. The movie lineup is as follows and is subject to change:
