Welcome! We are pleased to return for our 11th season serving the Snowbird market.
It is with anticipation that we welcome back old friends and look forward to making new ones.
Can you believe the season is just about here?
Some of you arrived in October to enjoy the great weather and wonderful festivals while others have made their way this month and others are looking forward to January 1.
Our first edition each year is appropriately called “Holiday” and we are diligently working on that now. As a reminder, we offer four print editions each winter and these are distributed from the Biloxi, Miss., coast to the Alabama Gulf Coast and along the Florida panhandle to east of Panama City, Fla., but we also post the pdf online as well.
Holiday is always a fun edition to produce because of the sheer volume of events being staged throughout the region. Think holiday lights, parades, twinkle, sparkle, the jolly old guy and his elves. Can you believe there are ice skating opportunities, too?
We always distribute each edition in .pdf form via this e-newsletter and encourage you to share it with friends and family.
Snowbird Events and Clubs– Is your non-profit organization sponsoring a Snowbird event or are you part of a Snowbird club? Be sure to keep us up-to-date and we will do our best to get the information in our print and/or online outlets. Inclusion is free however we ask that businesses support us through our marketing program.
Partner Deal – The Club at Hidden Creek is offering some great Snowbird deals this winter including “Snowbird Appreciation Mondays” which includes 18 holes of golf, including car rental and lunch for just $35 plus tax and tip. Great deal! Also, prepaid cards of 10 are available for $350 (just $35 per round) and season passes for unlimited play are also offered at $350. Sunset or Sunrise – Have you taken an awesome sunrise or sunset photo along the Gulf Coast? We are going to choose one sunset or sunrise photo from our readers this season to feature in our print edition! Email the photo along with your name, phone and email address to: publisher@snowbirdsgulfcoast.com.
Expos, Expos, Expos – This season there are a variety of opportunities to interact with area businesses across the coast. We are working on an Expos story in our Holiday edition as well.
New Cruise Port – Next week we will be going to a VIP reception aboard the Carnival Fantasy as it prepares to launch service out of Mobile, Ala., this month. Photos will be uploaded to our Facebook page Snowbirds Gulf Coast and included in our Holiday edition. Can’t wait!
Being Social – We are introducing a new column this year by guru Jahna Jacobson about the ins and outs of social media. Learn how to protect your privacy, find groups of like-minded people, etiquette and more.
Website – This year we will be posting more original content and sponsored content from our valued partners. As always, we will never serve you up as “click bait.” We respect you too much for that.
