Bratfest
The 20th annual Pleasure Island Firefighters “Snowbird” Bob Gilray Memorial Bratfest in Gulf Shores is now a community event. The date this year is Feb. 3 and it is staged at the Gulf Shores Adult Activity Center. Over 20 years more than $165,000 has been raised for three Alabama Gulf Coast fire and rescue associations where it is used primarily for equipment and education. Cost per brat is $4.

Pancake Breakfast Canceled
The annual Alabama Gulf Coast Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast (organized by 10 Snowbird clubs) scheduled for Feb. 10 has been canceled because it conflicts with the Gulf Shores Mardi Gras parade. The event is expected to return in 2019.
