The Friends Guild of the Destin Library, in cooperation with the Destin History & Fishing Museum, located at 108 Stahlman Avenue, Destin, Fla., has scheduled a late afternoon tour of the museum on March 12, at 4 p.m. This special tour is free and open to the public.

Since its founding in 2005 the museum has preserved and taught Destin’s history. The museum features the record of the early pioneers from the 1830s and the history of the fishing industry from seine boats to the boats that you see in Destin’s harbor today.

The museum’s mission is to preserve Destin’s history by stimulating interest in understanding of and appreciation for the village, its history, and its fishing and tourism industries, through experiences that educate and inspire.

The Destin History & Fishing Museum is a 501 C3 Non-Profit organization operated by a Board of Directors.
