The Pensacola Foo Foo Festival Committee  announced the launch of the 2022 Foo Foo Festival website, detailing this year’s initial day-by-day calendar of events with more to be added in the coming months.. Bookended by this year’s 2022 grant recipients including the Choral Society of Pensacola, Friends of Downtown, Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, Jazz Pensacola, Legal Services of North Florida, Pensacola Little Theatre, Pensacola Museum of Art, Pensacola Opera, Pensacola State College, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, Stamped LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, and The University of West Florida & The Frank Brown International Foundation of Music,attendees can now access this year’s event schedule for event programming taking place November 3-14, 2022.   • Choral Society of Pensacola Presents Born to Hand Jive – Nov. 10, 2022 at Rex Theatre (18 N. Palafox St.)
    The Choral Society of Pensacola, a staple in the arts community, exemplifies the city’s history of support for the fine arts. On Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, the Choral Society of Pensacola will present a “Grease” Sing Along at the Rex Theatre. The event will include a screening of the cult classic film “Grease,costume contests, interactive experiences and more.
  • Friends of Downtown Presents “Bubble Alley” –  Nov. 3 – 14, 2022 (Downtown Pensacola)
    The mission of Friends of Downtown is to enhance the district’s quality-of-life and economic success by creating a cleaner, safer and more enjoyable environment. From Nov. 3, 2022 through Nov. 14, 2022, Friends of Downtown will present “The Balloon Alley” – a never-before-done public art project consisting of floating, oversized balloons high above the heart of Historic Downtown Pensacola’s entertainment district.
  • Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival 50th Anniversary Concert with Béla Fleck – Nov. 5, 2022 at Hunter Amphitheatre (301 W. Main St.)
    The Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival was conceived in 1972 by a group of art patrons who wanted to expand the gatherings of local artists displaying their work in the Downtown Pensacola area. In celebration of the festival’s 50th Anniversary, the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival will present a free concert on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at the Hunter Amphitheater featuring 15-time GRAMMY Award-winner Bela Fleck and his Bluegrass band.
  • Jazz Pensacola Presents Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe – Nov. 7, 2022 at Vinyl Music Hall (2 S. Palafox St.)
    Jazz Pensacola is an organization of business and professional people, musicians, teachers, students and listeners working together for the purpose of advancing jazz music in Pensacola and the surrounding area. On Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, Jazz Pensacola will present a one-night-only concert with the internationally-acclaimed Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe at Vinyl Music Hall. Denson is famously known as the touring saxophonist for the Rolling Stones.
  • Legal Services of North Florida Presents Jazz for Justice – Nov. 13, 2022 at Museum Plaza (120 Church St.)
    Jazz for Justice is a premier annual jazz event benefiting the Legal Services of North Florida, a nonprofit organization that serves low-income individuals and families across the Florida panhandle by providing free civil legal help to eligible clients.In its fifth year with Foo Foo Festival, Jazz for Justice (JFJ) plans to expand its cultural and music offerings by bringing well-known musicians and local artists together for a unique jazz and blues festival in downtown Pensacola.This year on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, Jazz for Justice will once again present a lineup of jazz talents and will also partner with the Pensacola MESS Hall to teach youth attendees about the world around them. 
  • Pensacola Little Theatre Presents Unrequited: Romeo and Juliet – Nov. 3 – Nov. 9, 2022 at The Center (400 S. Jefferson St.)
    Pensacola Little Theatre is a non-profit community theatre that has been providing diverse theatrical experiences in Northwest Florida since 1936. Pensacola Little Theatre presents programming such as musicals, comedies, dramas, and children’s shows; adult and youth classes in acting and other theatre skills; a variety of volunteer opportunities; and thrilling, mission-based fundraisers. This year, Pensacola Little Theatre will present Unrequited: Romeo and Juliet, an immersive entertainment experience that is sure to be a captivating, colossal, and memorable experience for the 2022 Pensacola Foo Foo Festival, presented Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 to Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at The Center.
  • Pensacola Museum of Art Presents Vandals to Vanguards: Seven Days of Street Art – Nov. 3 – Nov. 10, 2022 (407 S. Jefferson St.)
    The Pensacola Museum of Art aims to facilitate the preservation, understanding, and engagement of visual culture for audiences in the Northwest Florida region and beyond through its permanent collection, interpretive programs, and a dynamic exhibition schedule. This year, the Pensacola Museum of Art will present Vandals to Vanguards: Seven Days of Street Art, engaging the Pensacola community during the Pensacola Foo Foo Festival from Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 to Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022. In addition to the exhibition, visitors and locals are invited to attend an opening reception and block party at the Pensacola Museum of Art on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Vandals to Vanguards exhibition will feature contemporary masterpieces by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Keith Haring alongside current notorious street artists like Banksy and Mr. Brainwash.
  • Pensacola Opera Presents the Forty Forward Concert – Nov. 12, 2022 at Saenger Theatre (118 S. Palafox St.)
    The mission of Pensacola Opera is to enrich the culture of Northwest Florida by producing professional opera performances, educational programs and other opera-related community events for people of all ages, interests and backgrounds. On Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, the Pensacola Opera will present the Forty Forward Concert, a one-night-only event celebrating four decades of Opera in Pensacola.
  • Pensacola State College Presents The Second City’s Touring Company in “Out of the House Party” – Nov. 10, 2022 at Pensacola State College’s Ashmore Auditorium (1000 College Blvd., Bldg. 8)
    Pensacola State College is a public, comprehensive community college that was founded as Pensacola Junior College in 1948. As the oldest and largest college in the Florida Panhandle, Pensacola State College serves traditional and non-traditional students in Northwest Florida and Southern Alabama. On Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, Pensacola State College will present The Second City’s Touring Company in “Out of the House Party” at Pensacola State College’s Ashmore Auditorium. The Second City Comedy is the world’s premier comedy club, comedy theater and school of improvisation, presenting unparalleled comedy for more than 60 years and producing an alumni list that includes some of the funniest names in comedy like Steve Carell, Amy Poehler, Keegan-Michael Key, Rachel Dratch and Jason Sudeikis.
  • Pensacola Symphony Orchestra Presents Schumann Symphony No.3 – Nov. 5, 2022 at Saenger Theatre (118 S. Palafox St.)
    The mission of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra is to promote the well-being of the greater Pensacola community through excellence in live symphonic music and lifelong learning through engaging musical activities. On Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra will treat guests to a spectacular celebration of music and place with a program featuring four works for orchestra, including Robert Schumann’s Third Symphony, Felix Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides, Max Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy and Michael Senturia’s Petra.
  • Stamped LGBTQIA+ Film Festival 10th Anniversary Celebration – Nov. 10 – 13, 2022 at The Center (400 S. Jefferson St.)
    The Stamped LGBTQIA+ Film Festival is dedicated to providing a vibrant cultural experience to Pensacola by using the unique expression of films with a specific focus on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQIA+) community to foster awareness, inclusion, and diversity. 2022 will mark the Stamped LGBTQIA+Film Festival’s 10th Anniversary, and the festival is committed to bringing the loudest, proudest and most colorful festival to-date to Pensacola Foo Foo Festivals’ eighth iteration from Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 to Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, featuring films and live panels. 
  • The University of West Florida & The Frank Brown International Foundation of Music Present “The Songs, Their Stories, A Symphony” – Nov. 8, 2022 at Saenger Theatre (118 S. Palafox St.)
    The mission of the Frank Brown International Foundation for Music is to bring the authors of original music out of the shadows and into the spotlight, to reach into schools to enrich lives and encourage creativity through music and to support businesses by increasing tourism in the Gulf Coast region. On Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, the University of West Florida and the Frank Brown International Foundation of Music will present “The Songs, Their Stories, A Symphony” at the Saenger Theatre. The show will feature three hit Nashville songwriters, including Jon Nite, Rivers Rutherford and Brett James, who have close to 50 No. 1 hits between them.

In addition to headlining events such as the above, the Foo Foo Festival Committee is still accepting applications from non-profit and for-profit entities who are interested in playing a part in this year’s events as a “Friend of Foo.” Nonprofits in the Pensacola area who previously applied and did not receive a grant for this year’s festival but would still like to participate, or local for-profitbusinesses such as hoteliers, restaurants and bars who are interested in participating and benefitting, are encouraged to apply.
