Known as one of the most versatile musical performers around, Hayes grew up on the Pensacola Little Theater stage and spent countless hours studying dance, piano, and vocal performance from some of Pensacola’s finest instructors. At 19, she danced with First City Dance Theater, Pensacola’s first professional dance company, before heading to Los Angeles and Nashville to study acting. Hayes has continued to express her creativity and talent on stage and behind the scenes. She has brought extraordinary life to roles such as the title role in Victor/Victoria, Anita in West Side Story, The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, and Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. Her backstage work includes choreographing shows for PLT as well as the Pensacola Children’s Chorus. She took on the role as dance teacher at N.B. Cook Elementary School of the Arts in Pensacola where she continues to share her passion for dance and performance.
Jazz Pensacola is a community organization of jazz enthusiasts, including musicians, teachers, students and listeners, working together for the purpose of advancing jazz in Pensacola and the surrounding Central Gulf Coast region. Jazz Pensacola endeavors to provide a forum for jazz performance, education and enjoyment for listeners and musicians.
