The holiday season kicks into high gear in Panama City Beach during Thanksgiving weekend with a festive schedule of events for the third annual Beach Home for the Holidays, presented by Southern Living. With free musical entertainment and holiday-themed fun, shopping and affordable lodging rates in a variety of categories ranging from condos to beach houses, Panama City Beach is the ideal place to create lifelong memories and start new traditions during the most magical month of the year.

The occasion will also provide the perfect time to visit the newly-launched Décor by the Shore Trail “good times, great finds” for every holiday shopping need. This recently established network of shops and stores specializes in coastal-themed décor, gifts, antiques and accessories. Events taking place in Panama City Beach during Beach Home for the Holidays include free concerts with performances by country act Restless Heart and holiday music by the Panama City POPS Orchestra and bonfires complete with s’mores and hot chocolate. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to meet all the good little boys and girls, along with a Christmas Tree lighting, fireworks and strolling carolers.

A few highlights of Beach Home for the Holidays includes:

Harmony Shores Chorus: Nov. 24 at 5 p.m. – The local all-female barbershop group brings their a capella tunes to the stage with a focus on some of your favorite holiday harmonies.

Panama City POPS Orchestra: Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. – An evening full of Christmas cheer at Aaron Bessant Park featuring the Panama City POPS Orchestra and the lighting of the 100-foot Christmas tree.

Christmas Carolers: Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. – Start the one-month countdown to Christmas with a performance of classic carols while surrounded by friends and family.

Restless Heart:  Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. – Long-running country music favorites will bring their sweet harmonies and holiday-themed melodies to Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater.
