MGM Resorts International’s Mississippi Beachfront Resort Spa Recognized as No. 22 on Spa and Wellness Travel Website’s Annual List

In 2020 travelers were not able to visit spas as frequently as in the past, but that did not stop them for searching for spas at destinations like Beau Rivage Resort & Casino. Based upon unique page views from those searches and consumer choices on www.spasofamerica.com, The Spa at Beau Rivage has earned the No. 22 spot on Spas of America’s Top 100 Spas of 2020, moving up six spots since the 2019 rankings were released.

“The North American spa and wellness industry was devastated by the events of the past year,” said Spas of America President Craig Oliver. “Many spas have been forced to close, reduce staff and operate at a reduced capacity. On the bright side we are seeing strong interest from consumers who are searching for relaxation, mental health, wellness and escape. I have no doubt North American spas will rise to meet this challenge in the year ahead.”

Beau Rivage is one of only two spas in Mississippi to make the prestigious list, which features 74 from the United States, 19 from Canada, three from Mexico and one each from Barbados, the Bahamas, Jamaica and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Sara Chatham, Beau Rivage’s Director of Recreation Services, said “This past year has really put an emphasis on the importance of self-care and the benefits of health and wellness. The Spa at Beau Rivage has been fortunate in that we reopened over the summer and our team has gone beyond standard protocols to allow our guests to enjoy their services in a safe manner. Our team provides exemplary guest service and earning recognition among the country’s prestigious spas is an honor and testament to their hard work.”

The Spa and Salon at Beau Rivage boasts 14 massage rooms; five facial treatment rooms; a private pedicure room along with a room to accommodate up to five guests at one time; five manicure stations; six stylist stations; a state-of-the-art fitness facility with top-of-the line Life Fitness an Cybex equipment; and separate vanity areas for men and women featuring steam, sauna and whirlpool amenities. The facility has a staff of more than 70 highly trained professionals including massage therapists, aestheticians, cosmetologists, hair stylists and more.

The Spa at Beau Rivage is one of two MGM Resorts International spas to be recognized by Spas of America, joining Immerse Spa at MGM Grand Detroit.

Located on the second floor of Beau Rivage’s hotel tower, the 20,000-square foot Spa and Salon is open daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Locals are invited to enjoy the world-class services and facilities, and are offered a 15 percent discount on spa and salon services Monday-Thursday.  Visit www.beaurivage.com or call 888.750.7111 for spa reservations.
